Entourage
Entourage is a creative and unique stage designed to transform and develop hidden and exceptional unseen talent with one on one artist training and development. Entourage is an Apprentice Program with The African Heritage Cultural Arts Center that offers a unique stage and music concert for aspiring singers also known as Future American Music Entertainers. This unique stage allows artists to debut their artistry in the most unique way while being accompanied by a live band and professional background singers.
The theme for 2017 is entitled, “LEVELS”. While all genres are welcome, this year’s theme is geared more towards the pop and classic soul genres. All selected artists are given an orientation accompanied with their parents and/or guardians and embark on a 16 week journey of Vocal, live performance, and choreography training in addition to artist development. All selected artists are scheduled a 1hr private session and required to attend Saturday rehearsals. Artists undergo, cardio exercise, vocal warm ups, workshops, pre-performances to assist with their preparation for the big day, artist development consultation, raw video diaries of their experience, and more.
The show is set for April 29th, 2017 at 7pm in the Wendell A. Narcisse Theater located at the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center. Doors will open at 6pm. A variety of live music will be performed by young artists who have received music training by professional music instructors of The African Heritage Cultural Arts Theater and the likes. These Future American Music Entertainers will headline this annual concert where as normally up and coming artists will open for professional artists, however, on the flip side of things, Zipporah Hayes, Producer have added a twist. Professional artist will open for our aspiring artists and perform an original and/or cover song as a duet during the show with selected artists. Feature Entourage artists will headline and debut their artistry live!
This year’s opening artists are, Ashley Wright, AHCAC Hip Hop Dance Instructor, Reese Fletcher, Hip Hop Artist and Dancer, and J. Howard, Vocalist, Musician, and Producer.
Producer, Troy Murray who was one of the judges and whose credits range from Universal Music Group and more has offered to record and produce an original song for the Most Valuable Performer of the evening. That artist will be named at the close of the show. Although this concert remains a non competitive concert, this opportunity motivates the artists to go above and beyond. This year’s show also have a surprise finale you don’t want to miss!
