Contracting Opportunity: Design Services for the New African Heritage Cultural Arts Center
The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs is seeking talented architects, engineers, and specialty consultants to design a new African Heritage Cultural Arts Center in Liberty City. The new building or campus would replace the existing, aged facility at its current location, 6161 NW 22nd Avenue in Miami, Florida. The new Center is envisioned as a 21st century complex with increased state-of-the-art capacity to offer educational programs for children and youth in all arts disciplines, to present arts and humanities events to the general public, and to continue to cultivate the work of community artists and arts organizations. The Department has secured $35 million for all capital costs to accomplish the project. More about the existing Center can be seen at www.ahcacmiami.org.
